Welcome To Share the Story
Everyone has a story to tell, a lesson to teach, and wisdom
to share. . . Life is a beautiful masterpiece bound together by your experiences. Open up and share your story; become an inspiration to others. You can make a difference because you matter. You were created with purpose. Live your life with intention, go out there and make a difference by being the difference.
Sometimes God redeems your story by surrounding you with people who need to hear your past so it doesn’t become their future.
By coming forward and sharing your story, you do not know the countless lives you change.
Tell the story of the mountain you climbed. Your words could become a page in someone else’s survival guide.
How does one define the word story?
Long, short, funny or serious? Dark, inspirational, or possibly captivating? Each person has his or her own unique story to tell.
Stories are never ending journeys, hidden talents or suppressed memories, all waiting to be told.
We all have a distinct definition of a story, so why not share yours? Here at Sharing Your Story we love to hear and to tell stories.
To start off, we are compiling some of the best stories in hopes of inspiring others to tell their story. So, what’s your story?
How it all started . .
In the summer of 2021 I read a book describing the life of missionaries working in the heart of the jungle in South America and Indonesia.
Over and over again there were accounts of miracles that the missionaries saw first hand. God intervened on many occasions as these dedicated people worked to bring the Good New of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to better the living conditions of these tribal people.
I thought back to my own childhood and recalled the times when the ladies in our local assembly would receive letters from far off lands. These letters were treated with high regards. They would open the hand written letters carefully and read to the group the accounts of the missionaries lives.
As they read they would here of God’s provision, learn of customs from far off places, hear of needs that needed to be met.
Theses letters along with the missionaries who wrote them were treated like a treasure that was respected, prayed for, spoken of, and thought of often until the next bit of news came many months later.
It was after reading this book I thought, “these stories need to be shared”. Many of these books are left to collect dust and are long forgotten. These stories each represent individual heroes. Stories that told of God’s intervention, His provision, His mercy, grace and love towards His own and those they served with great sacrifice.
There is nothing more powerful than a personal testimony. Come along with us as we share our ministry and the stories of these heroes of the faith.
